Competitive summer internship placement, funding, and professional training for emerging sustainability leaders from across the state. Supported by the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE), Catalyst Communities program.
Michigan local governments leading in the area of sustainability have unique challenges as they pioneer and implement new programs and technologies. The Catalyst Leadership Circle (CLC) Fellowship is designed to help these communities reach their climate and energy goals while developing a pipeline of passionate, capable students ready to enter the workforce in sustainability careers after gaining hands-on, applied knowledge.
Selected through a competitive application process, graduate-level CLC Fellows assist host communities on advanced projects. These students, who come from academic programs across the state, help communities take tangible steps toward their sustainability goals while creating shareable deliverables that can be utilized by other jurisdictions in the future.
