Dr. Xiaogan Liang is currently working as a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor at The Mechanical Engineering Department of University of Michigan (UM). Before joining UM, Dr. Liang was a Staff Scientist working at The Molecular Foundry, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. His current research interests are focused on nanomanufacturing, nanoelectronics and optoelectronics based on low-dimensional nanostructures, nanofluidics, and block copolymer self-assembly. Dr. Liang has coauthored 40 journal publications and more than 30 conference presentations, and has 3 US patents and 6 pending patents. Xiaogan Liang is the member of Sigma Xi, IEEE, and MRS. Dr. Liang obtained a BS in Physics from Peking University, a MS in Condensed Matter Physics from Inst. of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University.
