Psychology of the Black Experience

The course provides a psychological perspective on the experiences of Black people in America. The course will cover the following topics as they relate to Black Americans: prejudice, stereotyping, and discrimination; gender-role constructions; racial identity; achievement and education; resilience and coping; and physical and mental health.
