This class provides a survey of marine geology. Subjects include: the morphology and evolution of the ocean basins; relationships among magmatic, tectonic, and hydrothermal processes at mid-ocean ridges; subduction zone processes; the development of continental margins; and the sources, distribution, and evolution of deep sea sediments.
