Environmental Economics:  Quantitative Methods and Tools

The course develops several conceptual frameworks of environmental economics and the quantitative methods to apply the frameworks.  Excel-based tools are developed for application of the quantitative methods.  Emphasis is on skill developments for quantitative analysis of environmental policies.  Topics covered include nonmarket valuation; benefit-cost analysis; program evaluation; market-based environmental policy instruments (air pollution, water); energy depletion; and climate policy.
