Don Scavia Named Director of Graham Environmental Sustainability Institute

U-M Natural Resources & Environment Professor Donald Scavia was appointed as the Director of the Graham Sustainability Institute in January 2009. Also serving as the Director of the Michigan Sea Grant Program, Don serves on multiple boards associated with sustainability issues, including the North American Nitrogen Center, the Science Advisory Council of the Environmental Law and Policy Center, and others. Don is also on the Executive Committee of the Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterprise at U-M. Don joined the U-M Faculty in 2004 after serving as chief scientist for the NOAA's National Ocean Service.
