Carly Silverman (she/her) manages the undergraduate Graham Sustainability Scholars Program, the graduate Dow Sustainability Fellows Program, and the undergraduate Community Climate Action Fellows program. Born and raised in Michigan and spent a decade in the Bay Area working in youth development, environmental education, and community engagement before returning to Michigan three years ago. She holds a Master’s in Environmental Studies from San José State University and has over a decade of experience developing environmental education programs, leading conservation crews, supporting youth in schools, and facilitating professional development for educators. Most recently, she served as Community Engagement Manager at BrightAction Communities, where she partnered with municipalities and organizations to implement community-wide climate action programs. Carly is passionate about relationship building, resource sharing, and supporting communities in taking meaningful climate action. Outside of work, she enjoys fishing, camping, playing music, and tackling DIY projects at home!
