I am a passionate environmentalist pursuing a Bachelor's of Arts in Organizational Studies and a Bachelor's of Science in Program in the Environment with a Minor in Writing. Outside of the classroom, I love to be outside of the classroom! Environmental sustainability is our most pressing societal obstacle, and growing up in a small agricultural town on Lake Erie, the health of water systems is especially important to me. Moreover, presentation of environmental data must be accessible to all in order to effect positive change. I have experience with Rstudio, Arcgis, and website development software, making me a confident writer in a variety of modes.
Additionally, my professional and academic record of community building and collaboration highlights my ability to communicate and produce mission-driven results. As a Resident Advisor, I have training and experience in how best to implement restorative justice and have experience practicing principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion to strengthen and engage my community of residents. My experience in the roles of Facilitator, Program Assistant, and Student Lead Coordinator in LSA's Program on Intergroup Relations has allowed me to further develop these skills by managing group dynamics in discussions about social identities, building an intuitive course designed to support the wellbeing of first-year students, and helping lead its implementation across three academic semesters.
Finally, I hope to complete research on hydrological systems and their importance for surrounding communities in the future. My experience in cross-cultural dialogues, academic achievement as a writer, and love for STEM serves as a strong foundation for me to perform meaningful research and community engagement. Feel free to contact me at [email protected]. I am always interested in connecting and exploring opportunities to have a positive social impact!
