In conjunction with the Energy Equity Researchers’ Collaborative (EERC), this Dow Fellows team supported the development of an internal framework with the goal of building a cohesive energy, equity, and justice network of academia, state energy offices, non-profit research institutes and consulting groups involved in implementing federal and state level policies. The team engaged EERC members through 20 one-on-one interviews to identify shared goals and elevate diverse member viewpoints. As a result, two working groups were formed. The first group enabled knowledge exchange and facilitated coordination among organizations by developing a network database. The second produced a governance proposal focused on creating recommendations for membership structures, capacity building, and funding within EERC. These two deliverables are intended to help EERC grow their collaborative.
