My research interests relate to international politics and law. Much of my work focuses on Southeast Asia, but I am more generally interested in issues related to security and governance in the Global South. My current book project concerns "sovereingty-sharing" arrangements in which international organizations share authority over normally sovereign state functions in fragile states.
