The NERRS Centralized Data Management Office (CDMO) is the coordinating entity for NERRS Science Collaborative data management activities and is available to provide guidance during full proposal development and technical support for funded projects.
Science Collaborative projects that produce new data must include a data management plan that includes descriptions of the following components:
- An understanding of the data management needs and capabilities of both data providers and end users of data and products.
- Methods and protocols for data collection.
- Data quality control / quality assurance (QA/QC) procedures.
- Data access.
- Data archiving.
Examples of data management plans are available at the NOAA Environmental Data Management Wiki under the Data Management Plan Repository.
