Building Freshwater Capacity at U-M

The Water Center also enhances freshwater restoration and protection efforts through the identification and facilitation of freshwater research, education, and professional development opportunities right here on campus. By fostering cross-disciplinary collaborations, encouraging new linkages to freshwater issues in research and courses, and providing more opportunities to study and learn about the Great Lakes and other large freshwater systems, the Water Center is working to increase the University’s capacity to contribute solutions to the protection and restoration of the Great Lakes and beyond.
