Jerry Davis’s research is concerned with the changing corporate economy and the effects of finance on society. Recent writings examine the financialization of the economy; the link between finance and politics; the decline of the public corporation; and how ideas about corporate social responsibility have evolved to meet changes in the structures and geographic footprint of multinational corporations.

His latest book is The Vanishing American Corporation: Navigating the Hazards of a New Economy.
