Ethan Schoolman
His Story
Ethan is a Ph.D. student in sociology at the University of Michigan, where he is writing his doctoral dissertation on urban-rural political relationships and the politics of growth management in cities in the western U.S. Before coming to Michigan, Ethan worked as a field assistant for a bird population study, a housekeeper and dishwasher in backcountry Alaska, a reporter, and a fundraiser for non-profit groups. He also holds a master's degree in political science.
