Food Systems Planning

This course introduces ways of understanding, analyzing and shaping food systems.  We will examine historical and contemporary trends in food systems from environment, socio-political, health and economic-perspectives.  Emphasis is on the role of planners in facilitating food systems change through an exploration of food planning and analyze tools, policies, grassroots movements, and governance strategies emerging in the US and globally.
