In support of the U-M Sustainability Initiative, the Graham Institute works with diverse groups of faculty to develop collaborative research efforts that help solve complex sustainability challenges. As appropriate, the Institute incubates and supports new Centers of Excellence to fill critical research gaps.
Our initial effort in this area is a partnership with Michigan State University that focuses on adapting to climate change in the Great Lakes region and improving the utility of scientific knowledge with regard to regional decision making. Click here to learn more.
Our most recent initiative is the new U-M Water Center, established to guide efforts to protect and restore freshwater ecosystems. Click here to learn more.
